Fast Forward

Supporting Programme

From here on, you can find everything else in the programme around the eight festival productions.

In addition to the festival productions, the supporting programme includes all the options there are to help you learn more about the plays, the directors and their work, to get talking to each other or simply to celebrate. Apart from the festival opening on the 2nd of November at 18.30 and the award ceremony on the 5th of November at 22.15 in the Kleines Haus of the Staatsschauspiel Dresden, there will also be short introductions before the shows, artists’ talks at the after-show bar, parties in the festival centre and street karaoke to join in. In collaboration with the European Theatre Convention ETC, the Fast Forward Festival Forum will take place for the first time.

ONLY IN GERMAN:
SHORT INTRODUCTIONS BEFORE THE PERFORMANCES

These will take place in the foyers approx. 10 minutes before the performance. The introductions will be provided in German only. Please ask our admissions staff where the introduction will take place.

SURTITLES & LIVE INTERPRETING
All our productions will be shown with German and English surtitles or as indicated in the programme. The festival opening and closing ceremony will be simultaneously translated into German resp. English.

THE FESTIVAL CIRCUITS
The festival is planned in such a way that you can see several productions one after the other on one day – this means there are several circuits you can take. To follow our plan, we recommend that you travel between the venues using the Dresden Public Transport (DVB) tram and bus lines. The stamp on your theatre ticket means it is also valid as a transport ticket. It is also possible to walk from one venue to the other and this is also marked on the circuit plan. In order to stick to the circuit, you usually need to get going right after the end of the show. There will be circuit scouts at every venue to bring you to the right stop or to walk with you to the next venue. You can get a detailed map from the box offices and on our websites.
